2. Purposes and legal bases
We process personal data to provide and secure this online offering, to communicate with interested parties, to fulfil contracts, and to comply with legal obligations. The legal bases are Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract / pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, functional website).
2.1 Hosting and server log files
When you access our website, the hosting provider automatically processes your IP address, date/time of access, time-zone difference to GMT, requested content, HTTP status, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, and browser / operating-system information (user agent incl. language/version). Storage occurs pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Log files are deleted once they are no longer required for stability, security, or error analysis.
2.2 Cloudflare (CDN, security service, bot protection)
We use Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, as a content delivery network, DDoS / firewall service, and for Cloudflare Turnstile. IP address, browser and device data, referrer, system configuration, and, where applicable, behavioural or interaction data are processed to detect attacks and deliver content efficiently. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (overriding interest in security and availability). Transfers to the USA rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR). As only security-related purposes are pursued, no consent banner is required. Details: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
2.3 Cookies and local storage
We only use technically necessary cookies or comparable local storage technologies that are required for security-relevant functions and the operation of the website. They are deleted after the session or short intervals. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (2) TTDSG. We do not deploy tracking or marketing cookies.
2.4 Contact
When you contact us via form or email, we process the data you provide (e.g., name, email, message, phone number) solely to handle and document your request. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where a contractual relationship exists or is initiated; otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (interest in customer communication). Data are deleted once the purpose ceases and no statutory retention duties apply.
2.5 SSL / TLS encryption
This website is delivered entirely via SSL / TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” prefix and the padlock icon in your browser.
3. Recipients and data transfers
Within the company, only authorised units have access to personal data. External service providers (e.g., hosting, Cloudflare) process data solely under data-processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Transfers to third countries occur only where appropriate safeguards exist (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
4. Storage period
Personal data are stored only as long as necessary for the respective purposes or as required by legal retention / documentation duties. After the purpose ceases or deadlines expire, the data are deleted or anonymised.
5. Data subject rights
You may exercise the following rights at any time: access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and objection on grounds relating to your particular situation against processing based on Art. 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with future effect (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. The competent authority for [insert federal state] is, for example, the State Commissioner for Data Protection [insert title].
6. Obligation to provide data
Providing personal data is generally voluntary. For certain features, such as the contact form, it is necessary; without the information we cannot process the respective request.
7. Updates to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy to reflect changes in legal requirements or our services. The up-to-date version is available at https://www.wohlschlager-racing.de/en/privacy.
